Welcome
Today we’re introducing LAB45, a creative sustainability challenge running across multiple schools. You’ll spot problems, think up ideas, and later pitch your ideas, the best ideas will be in with the chance of winning a prize.
During the video listen out for: ‘changemaker’, ‘problem → solution’, ‘your idea matters’.
"Change-Maker"
- Food waste in the canteen
- Devices left on or charging all the time
- Fast fashion waste
LAB45 challenge
- During the workshop, you’ll develop your ideas and pitch them in 60 seconds to camera
- Ideas from different schools will be assessed together and winners selected for Best Idea and Most Innovative Idea.
- It’s not about who shouts loudest; it’s about a clear, strong idea.

- Between now and the workshop, spot a sustainability problem you care about.
- Think: What’s happening? Who’s affected? Why does it matter?”
- Keep it simple: Problem → Idea → Impact → Hook.
